Check out the ingredients:

(With buttercream cocoa frosting. Height: 2 to 2.5 inch)


1 + 1/2 cup (170 g) all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (dutched/dark)
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup (220 g) sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
3/4 cup (1.8 dl) milk
3/4 cup (170 g) melted butter
2 eggs

Ingredients for frosting

1 stick (1/2 cup) + 3 tablespoons (160 g) softened butter
3 cups (7.2 dl) powdered sugar or confectioner’s sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 to 5 tablespoons lukewarm milk



  1. Preheat oven to 350 deg F (Gas mark 4 or 180 deg C)
  2. Grease a 9 inch (23 cm) cake tin.
  3. Mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, sugar and vanilla essence in a bowl.
  4. Melt the butter at low heat and add to the dry ingredients. Also add milk and eggs.
  5. Mix everything together until smooth, either by hand or by using an electric mixer at slow speed.
  6. Transfer to bake tin and bake at 350 degrees until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, approximately 35 to 45 minutes.
  7. After the cake has cooled, slice the cake through the middle to make two layers (easier if the cake has been in the fridge).




  1. Cream the softened butter with powdered sugar in a bowl. Add cocoa, vanilla and 4 tablespoons lukewarm milk, and mix until smooth. Do not over-mix. If necessary, add some more milk.
  2. Use one 1/3 of the frosting between the two layers, 1/3 on top, and the rest around the cake.
  3. This cake should have room temperature when served.

Ever-so-popular: Chocolate Chip Cookie

Cookies? First thing that pops into my mind are chocolate chip cookies; they’re nostalgic–reminds me of my childhood. Dipping them in warm milk as a an afternoon, or midnight snack. Delectable. In just every bite, would keep you coming back for more.

Don’t drool on it, okay? 🙂

Why not try it at home? Your own chocolate chip cookie,why not?  🙂

All you’ll be needing:

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons hot water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

and now let’s bake!

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add to batter along with salt. Stir in flour, chocolate chips, and nuts. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans.
  3. Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned.

Chocolate Green Tea Cake

Green Tea Cake Recipes


Green tea, as a beverage comes in varieties.;hot, iced, shakes and many more. Now how about trying green tea as a cake? It’s very simple, here’s how:)


All we need:

1¼ cups of flour, sifted
3 large size eggs
8 tbsp of melted butter
¾ cup of fine blond sugar
1.5 tsp of Matcha tea
1 tsp of baking powder
1.5 tsp of sifted unsweetened cocoa, diluted with 2 tbsp cold whole milk
3 ounces of chocolate 70% cocoa, melted
A pinch of salt


And now, Bake away:


Beat up the eggs well to obtain a white frothy color. Melt the butter and pour it on the eggs and stir well. Mix baking powder and salt to the sift flour and add it to the eggs to make the batter. Now, separate the batter into two halves. Add the molten chocolate and the cocoa which has been diluted in cold milk into one half of the batter. Mix the matcha tea into the other half. Take 6 small size molds and grease them properly. Sprinkle some flour on the greasy surface. Now, in each of these molds pour some chocolate batter first followed by some matcha tea batter. Put the molds inside a preheated oven and bake at 180°C for 30 minutes.


All is ready to serve and share; and as usual,  enjoy the delightful treat! 🙂

Fudgy Brownies

Sit back, relax and unwind. A fudgy brownie in hand matched it with your favorite hot chocolate or iced coffee. Hungry yet? So try this TOO. 🙂

Delicious, Quick and Easy!:)

Here is a list of what we’ll be needing:

  • 1 cup (128 grams) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (64 grams) unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 ounces (57 grams) (or more if you want it more fudgy) dark chocolate
  • 1 cup (201 grams) granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup (5 1/3 tbsp or 76 grams) unsalted butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup 1% low-fat milk
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • butter (for buttering baking pan)

1.)First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit / 176 Celsius. Use a sieve to sift flour into a bowl.

2.)Fill up a 1 cup measure of the sifted flour. Use the flat edge of a butter

knife to level off the flour.

3.)Add the 1 cup of sifted flour, cocoa powder and salt to a medium-sized bowl.

4.)Whisk together.

5.) Break the dark chocolate up into chunks.

6.)Add the pieces of dark chocolate and the butter to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 15 seconds and then stir the mixture as much as possible. Repeat these steps of microwaving for 15 seconds and stirring until the chocolate has melted and is smooth. Unless you have a very low power microwave, you should not have to microwave for more than 45 seconds total. You want to use the microwave as little as possible so you do not burn the chocolate. You just want enough heat so you can stir and melt the chocolate. Note: Instead of using the microwave you could also use a double boiler.

7.)The chocolate and butter mixture is now melted and smooth. Allow to cool for a few minutes.

8.)Slowly add the granulated sugar while mixing. Mix until well combined.

9.)Add one whole egg, and two egg yolks, the vanilla extract, and milk. If your bowl is too small to mix everything in without making a mess, pour it all into a larger one before mixing. Stir until combined.

10.)Pour the chocolate mixture into the bowl containing the dry ingredients.

11.)Whisk until combined. Do no overmix your fudgy brownie batter.

12.)Butter an 8 inch by 8 inch baking pan.

13.)Pour the fudgy brownie mixture into baking pan.

14.)Bake the fudgy brownies for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out almost clean.

15.) Remove from oven and allow to cool. Slice the fudgy brownies into equal parts.

Oatmeal Toffee Cookies


Here’s something that’s not too heavy, but just right, for those weight watchers and sweet tooth. Satisfy those cravings, and find pleasure in every bite!  🙂


All you need:

  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 cups toffee baking bits

Now bake:

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar. Stir in the egg and vanilla until smooth. Sift together the flour, salt and baking soda, stir into the creamed mixture. Then stir in the rolled oats. Finally, stir in the chopped candy bar pieces.
  3. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared cookie sheets, and flatten slightly. Bake for 10 to 18 minutes in the preheated oven. Cookies will have a dry appearance when finished baking.

Hey mom, are you online?

Geezus Mom!

Everyone’s on Facebook, it’s a total hit!–You got Facebook, all your friends are on it, and so are your cousins and teachers; but that’s no biggie. Suddenly your mom knows about it, and tells you: “Can teach me how to use Facebook?” And so you teach her, but at the back of your mind, your like; “aren’t you too old for this?(does it have an age limit?) And so she’d definitely add you first.

Out of nowhere, she’d comment on all your pictures and tells you how good looking you are. Embarrassing much? Or is your momma proud too much? Tell me. I see it all the time on from my friends pages. If my mom would be on Facebook, I’d make another account and be sure she would’t add me. Good thing she’s always busy, keeps me away from that awkward OMG-MY-MOM-IS-ON-FACEBOOK-NOW-I-HAVE-TO-ACT-NORMAL feeling.

Candies and chips were a common food trip to have; sweets in colorful delights, would always interest me, but never did those green leafy vegetables! Just by the way it looked, I had that imaginary taste that it would taste bitter and boring–no thrill at all!
But that was what I thought, not until I found out that you could have these vegetables in such a delectable way.–exciting!
well, now we’re talking!

try this:

Stuffed Bitter Melon with Eggplant

4 bitter melon, reg. sized, cut into 4 pieces
3 tbsp shrimp fry
1 cup pork (cut into small pieces)
6 eggplants (cut into 4 pieces)
5 to 6 tomatoes, reg. sized, sliced
1 onion, sliced
2 pieces garlic, crushed

do the cooking:

Take a frying pan and saute tomatoes, garlic, onion, shrimp fry and pork. Do not cook thoroughly, when it is half done, add bitter melon and eggplant with 1 cup water. Season to taste and simmer until cooked.
